Egg timer/ Hour glass coming on and staying with curser crosshairs in 2010

Hi

I have deployed 2010 with sp2 to a couple of machines when you do some commands the Hour glass / egg timer
stays on after the command has finshed and stays on top of the cross hairs. You can still more around and do things but the
hour glass is in the way all the time. If you shut down Civil3d and restart it goes away until you start the odd command again.

Any ideas?

I see the same thing for the first time on my home machine using Win7. I
have not seen it with Vista or XP.

Hi Justin,

This often happens when using Virtual Machines, and is sometimes related
to the graphics drivers. Is your graphics hardware and driver version
supported?

I have the same thing happening on one of my new machines.

We have three new machines that are all exactly the same. Dell XP64 with Civil 3d 2010. Only one of the machines is doing it constantly.

Other two are ok.

Should I try to reinstall C3D?

Hi

As suggested the graphics cards on our two machines are just simple built in units not supported. We have not brought any new graphics cards
yet, but have reduced the graphics acceralation setting from maxmium to one off the minimum setting and this seems to have
stopped the issue 90% of the time for now.

It does seem strange that this would occur on only one of your 3 new machines our machineare are now 4 or 5 years old.

Anyone still dealing with this issue?

We have seen this on a few computers. Been dealing with autodesk and the keep saying its a video card issue but all video cards and current and update with the latest drivers? It occurs after you start to utilize the Civil 3D commands.... Any one have any ideas?

If The answer to Mr. Gohels answer is yes and it still does it, what could then be the problem. This is very annoying to have to reinstall civil for every little problem.

Himanshu,

My driver is up to date but I still get the hour glass. I work for county government and can't get IT here to my machine to reload civil 3d everytime there is a problem. Could you please help me out so I can explain to our IT what needs to be done. I am working in drawings that were fine in 2009 but now in 2010 the hour glass shows up everytime I open the drawings.
here is my log

I was having the problem show up every time I opened my corridor properties. It would stay after closing as well until I closed down the program. The latest fix that I found lasted the longest was making a new autocad profile. open options and select a new default and switch out your old one. I think mine got corrupt or something.
