Dragged point label resets in 08

I have a grading plan that was created in Civil 3D 2006 with points and label styles that were dragged to create leaders back to the points. When I open the same file in 2008 all the labels are reset back to the point. If I open the same file in 2007 it still looks like it should. See attached pics. Has anyone seen this?

I am running Windows XP with intel Xeon @ 2.33 GHz and 3 GB of Ram.

Thanks for the help.

Did you Pin the labels (right-click on label & choose Pin Label)? If not try
it & see if the problem persists. I have had this happen in 07.

I did try that and it still resets. I also tried creating a new drawing with a dragged label and it reset that one as well.

If you open it in 2007 and save it, and then open it in 2008, does it behave
the same?

I did try opening the file in 2007 then doing an audit and save to 2007 format. When I opened it in 2008 it was still wrong.

I have the same problem when I open a Civil 3d 2007 drawing in Civil 3d 2008. I am also interested in the fix if there is one.

David,
I have created a defect for this issue.
Thanks for the input.

I looks like the labels in the profiles for pipe networks are resetting as well.

Yep, this one's been hitting us, too. Points and Parcel Labels both are resetting.

Just migrated to 2008 and this hit us on Monday. My CAD users are not having a good day. Please let me know if a fix is found for this. I hate Mondays.

Are we EVER going to be able to open a drawing created in a previous year and have it ACTUALLY maintain all its settings / appearances???

I'm getting sick of having to open projects in 3 different versions of C3D!!

This year, all my nice pretty 2007 drawings that have lots of pipes in them don't keep their label positions when I open it in 2008.

Any idea if this is going to be fixed with SP1?
