Double Click Note Label Edit

I was just wondering if you can customize your interface so you can edit note labels (or any labels for that matter) by double clicking. I've already gone throught the cui files but I can't find anything. Am I missing something. c3d 2007

Well I don't know about all labels, because some do not allow it, but here it is for general:

1. Open the customize user interface (CUI) dialog box
2. Go down to double click actions and right click select new
3. Add a name and description
4. Under Object name enter exactly this "aecc_general_note_label"
5. Now go to the commands window. Should be on your lower left. Click the new button
6. Enter the name, I suggest "Edit Label Text"
7. Enter a description if you wish
8. Under macro enter "^C^C_editlabeltext"
9. Drag and drop the new command onto the new double click action.
10. Double click to your hearts content.

You may have to set this up for different labels so here's how you can get the information:

(setq a (entget (car (entsel)))) <-select entitiy
!a <-see what the entity is should be (0 . "XXXXXX")
Do the previous stuff

I came here looking for something else but saw this. I was planning on changing this today anyway. This worked great and I didn't have to figure it all out 😃 Thanks.

Has anyone been able to get this to work in 2009? I followed the steps outlined above but the double click still brings up properties instead of the editlabeltext window.

Sinc,

I'm stumped. I even tried going back to the civil.cui from a fresh install and it still doesn't work. If you don't mind, can you email me your cui file. Send it to tom.berning at woolpert.com.

Thanks

leave it to Sinc to figure out all the crazy intricacies of C3D. This a darn good tip.

I love it when you forget how to do something and then remember you put something up on here so you can figure it out again.

I think Autodesk should start having the double click already written into the program by now, but that may just be me 😄

I've searched the forums for answers then found 10 year old posts with me asking or answering the same question a few times.

We do ours in a partial customization file so it can easily be added to any setup. Attached is our setup.

Remove the ".txt" extension I added so I could attach the file.
