Distance and Bearing labeling in C3D 07?

I once used a lisp application for labeling distance and bearing lines in
AutoCAD. It used dim.lsp and a couple blocks one for dist and one for bear
and would label lines as such. Does Civil3D 2007 have this built in now? If
it does where is it so I can label my lines?

yes and it's in the labeling tools. You have to build the label style first after that it's just 2 clicks from a dynamic label.

It can be found under several items, but for what I'm sure you are using it for use the parcel label style.

Thanks. I had to create a parcel of my area to get this to work and that's
fine however what If I simply was creating R.O.W. lines and wanted to label
the distance and bearing of these lines? Is there a way to just pick a
standard AutoCAD line and have it labeled?

See the pic below. You can label almost anything in C3D and have it link to that object.

here is a thread mentioning the general line label that might help you get started, and a few others that use the general line labels to call out areas.

OK. At first I tried to label my line using the Add Labels but when I
selected the line it would do nothing. I noticed that in the Feature type
drop down there were many labeling options and it was defaulting to parcels.
I choose Line and Curve and now I have what I need. Thanks for your help.

I would have simply made a style called 'Dist and Bearing' that has both and
then do child styles under that for the seperated 'dist' and 'bearing'. I
find that it organized your styles better that you're not looking through a
loooong list of options - find the parent and then the child. Of course that
is why there are Fords and Chevy's - or now-a-days ' Toyota's and Hyundais'
:)
