Displaying utilities in a profile view

I have a 2013 Civil 3D file, in which I've generated a set of multiple profile views, using a proposed centerline of a new pipeline as the alignment, and the existing grade surface.  The profile views are just fine.  However, there is also an existing underground electric service running roughly parallel to this proposed pipeline.  All I have to work with is a 3D polyline which shows the location and elevation of that electrical service line.  Here's my issue:  Right now the profile view(s) display on only the existing grade along the pipeline alignment, and that's fine.  I would also like these profile views to display the location of the above described electrical line, but don't know how to get the profile veiw(s) to "see" it.
Thanks,
Ed

one way would be to turn the 3d polyline into a pipe network and add them to the views.

The Adding Projected objects to Profile View may work.

It's more of a quick and dirty approach that has it's limitations as far as sharing between drawings etc. The projections could be traced to create a Layout Profile that could then be data referenced etc.
I prefer the Pipe Network approach but if you allready have the electric line as a 3d poly and aren't looking for anything fancy it's another option.
