Difficulty copying Parent-Child styles to template

I've got a drawing that I've done all my plat work in, where I've set up
all the styles needed and want to transfer these to our template.

Right now, it's obvious that you cannot drag a Parent style and all the
Child styles come with it. But I cannot get child styles to come in
consistently. Some do, some don't

I'm dragging and dropping them, but they never show up in the template.
Has anyone had any luck copying Parent-Child styles into another drawing?

have you tried inserting drawing with desired styles as a block into a current drawing.... this method is supposed to bring styles over.
If you want specific styles only (without any excess entities or styles) copy a source drawing (that contains styles you want to bring over) and clean it of everything else, then block insert it, into a host drawing... hope this helps

Yes. I tried that too, it didn't work any better than dragging and
dropping.

I thought it might be tied to having the layer associated with the style
I'm trying to bring in (kinda like description keys in LDT), but I've
got all the layers I need in the template.

Specifically, I'm trying this with Parcel Area, Line, and Curve styles.

Thanks, though.
