In 2010, it was possible to use the search in F1 help for Developer documentation, in 2011, it's only available through separate help window
is there any chance i can make it work as before?
Hi Matus,
I have not done it personally and am not sure how and if this will work but I hope this may point you in the right direction. Go to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011\Help and open HelpSearch.ini file. At the bottom of this file you may add another entry under [Sections] called AutoCAD Developer Documentation. This will display this option in your help Search. The next step is to find articles that will be searched under this section.
You may open the same file in Civil 3D 2010 and use it for reference. Start with civil_api_developers_guide.chm
Not sure what files, articles and sections are there, though. I would also recommend that you make a copy of any file you are about to edit.
thank you, this might be the push in the right way
i found an interresting line in that file
;AutoCAD developer files REMOVED
i wonder, what was the motive for doing this
anyway, i think i understand the syntax of the ini file, i was able to add line to Sections, but i can't make it to do successful search in the files, that i added
I'm bumping this thread, because I wasn't able to make it search in the added chm files
was anyone successful trying this?
