It seems that if there is a point style override for the desc key set to a
point style that uses an AutoCAD block symbol for the marker, the point
won't freeze with its layer.
Or, even if there is no override, but the group point style uses an AutoCAD
block symbol for the marker, the point won't freeze with its layer.
