Daylight line from corridor surface does not quite daylight

When I created sections for a corridor, I noticed that the proposed corridor
surface line stops just short of the existing surface line in a cut or a
fill situation. Then I did some investigation work (I zoomed in on the plan
view of the corridor, and noticed that the proposed contours did not connect
with the existing contours - also the cross hair display shows that the
elevations from the existing and the proposed surface are different).
Any ideas? Is it because the proposed surface is only accurate to a 1'
contour?
Thanks for any insight

It could have a lot to do with how often you are sampling the corridor. If
your doing every 25' or 50' the situation you present will occur. That's
the first thing that comes to mind....

You are correct, sir.
When I re-sampled my corridor at 4' intervals, the daylight line was more
accurate.
Thank you,
