Datum surface boudary as breakline??

Is it possible to create a boundary around the DATUM surface that is in 3D?  What I am trying to do is to take the footprint of the DATUM surface (that has been created from my design corridor) and add it to my PRELIM surface as a breakline.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It can be done, but you may be able to skip a few steps depending on what version of the software you're using.

Select your surface and look for the Extract Objects command on the context ribbon (should be in the Tools panel.)  If your surface style is currently displaying a border then you should be able to extract it as a 3d polyline.  Note - you may have to edit the surface style to ensure that the border is displayed as 3D first.  You should be able to add the new polyline to the EG as a non-destructive breakline.
