DEM information from TIFF format file

Hi,

I have an aerial image in TIFF format.

Can I get DEM information from this format? If yes, what should I do?

Thank in advance

Typically a TIFF file is just an image.  There may be georeferencing data in there to allow ACad to place the picture correctly in real world coordinates, but that's it.

I can do it for you if you can send me the file.  My email address is trogers@tcadsys.com.

If your file is a Geotiff with Z values inside, then you easily generate a 3D Dem e.g. by means of the opensource Qgis.
