I am straining my brain trying to understand why you would need to.
You have your x-sections rotated?

I'm Xref'ing the Civil 3D drawing and have to rotate the view.

Let me try to explain this a little futher. I have a base file "Grading Base" with all my sections and point table views, which is currently orientated with North pointing up. When I Xref the "Grading Base", I have to rotate the view in order to get the disired display at a specified scale. I would like to rotate the view of "grading base" file directly so I do not have to keep rotating it every time I Xref it! But, when you rotate the view of the base file, the sections will rotate as well. The point tables, however, will not rotate because the tables maintain the view orientation.

P.S. When I mention rotate, I'm refering to the view only!!

... curious .... I like to see how others do things.

Your veiw rotation method: DView twist or Align Space?

The "every time I xref it!" phrase: You're creating multiple drawings (grading plans?) and xreffing into each one? if so, why not make multiple copies of the first one and then move the focus of the viewport to a new area, rather than starting from scratch for each sheet.

I believe that x-sections should be in a drawing just for plotting them.
(Even if you have to make a copy of your base file.)

It is much easier to control the scale, etc.

Yea, I agree. We just upgraded to Civil 3D and I'm trying to figure out how to xref Civil 3D along with LDD into finished sheets.

Here is how I see it.
LDD is on a sinking ship, no labor or materials for repair. (I don't
necessary agree with this attitude, but "facts is facts".)
Civil 3D has finally got it's nose above water and building up a head of
steam.

I would keep LDD and it's x-refs in one pile and Civil3D and its x-refs in a
separate pile.
I have also had good success by combining all files into one pdf binder
(total project) for later reproducible plans.
