I am trying to set several hundred points along polyline verticies with the point number starting at 5000. There are no other points in my drawing, yet everytime I start the process, it begins at 1. I have set 5000 at my Next Point Number under Point Identity in the Create Points toolbar. I have also verified that the 'Save Command Settings" is set to yes under the 'Commands-Create Points'. We cannot get this to behave as desired.
Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? This is a 2D polyline with no elevations.
Civil3D 2013 64 bit.

My settings are identical except for the point number, but I cannot get the point numbering to change. I have no problem in 2012, but this is my first go around in 2013. My partner gets the same results on his updated workstation. I have attached a clipping.
Hi,
>> None of the Point Creation commands, that I've tested, in 2013 honor the next point number property
just tried it with "manual point" and Civil3D 2013 German .... works for me (see video, maybe there are different workflows, command-calls, clicks, ... that makes the difference).

I can control the point numbering fine for a single manual point setting, but when I pick a polyline to set points automatically along the vertices, it returns back to ignoring my settings.
Hello all,
This issue is already reported to the development and they are actively working on it.
We have found that the numbering also does not work with alignments - Measure alignments. It will work with individual stations and offsets though. Just cannot handle automated multiple points.
Happy days! SP1 installed today seems to have fixed the problem. Starting point numbers are held and automatic placement will keep the numbering consistent. Thanks!
This is indicated to have been fixed in SP 1 for 2013.
