Creating a surface from contours

Greetings,
I am trying to create a surface in C3D 2007 by using contours. However, after I create my surface, I try to add contours but the selection set says "none found." I listed the contours I am trying to use and they come up "AECC_CONTOUR."
What am I doing wrong? Or, is something else amiss?

Did you perhaps get the file from Land Desktop? Perhaps it's not
picking up on the contour objects.

Thanks for the reply. After much head scratching and finally asking several people in the office, I have determined that what you said is correct. When I copied the contours in, I didn't actually get all of the information.

Hi Scott,

Can you get the original Land Desktop DTM?

May be by a LandXML process, or through an Import of Land Desktop project
data.

As DTMs built from contours are inaccurate they should only be used as a
last resort.

Laurie,
I was able to track down the original engineer and we worked out getting the DTM, which simplified the process exponentially.
