Creating PDF files using Acroplot

I am using Civil 3D 2010 and have installed the latest version of Acroplot that supports AutoCAD 2010 versions. My problem is creating PDF from drawings with large aerial imagery, it takes forever I am talking hours. When I had C3D 2009 it worked great doing some of the same drawings only taking a minute to create. Just wondering if anyone is having the same issue or have a solution
