Coordinate Annotation

How do i annotate coordinates, without having to create points and changing
the display style?

You can modify Civil 3D objects label styles to label Coords of the objects (structures, pipe ends, parcel start & ends of segments).

If you are trying to label the coords of Non Civil 3D objects like ends of lines or curves you can create General labels styles for Line and Curve to label the Start and End points of the lines and curves.

I personally would set points with a style to label coords of the point, but you said with-out creating points.

1. find add labels under Annotate tab

2. under add labels find Notes

3. when under notes, create new Note label style with the content northing and easting

4. apply and exit

5. select the name for the new Note style you created under Note Label style

6. Click Add , and select the location you intend to annotate coordinate on the screen

7. You done.

A General note label style can be setup to label coords, but using a point and label style may be a bit more intuitive

No need to create points, description, elevation, point groups... to label coordinate

I think that is what I said, but a point to me is more intuitive. Being one usually ask the question: "what is the coordinate of that point in space" the operative word IMHO is point Smiley Wink
