Convert Surface Spot Elevation Label to Point?

Is it possible to do this?

Not without coding, and I'm not sure that it would be simple.

Thanks James - I was hoping there might be some way through the Marker style since it gives the option to use an AutoCAD point object. I changed the marker to an AutoCAD point object and then I was going to try and use the Convert AutoCad points option when creating C3D points, but the marker disappeared. It sounds like even if I get the marker to show up, I wouldn't be able to convert them, correct?

Now that's a good idea. If you convert the marker style to Acad point then
set PDMODE to say, 1, and explode the surface, you _might_ get something
usable. You have to get PDMODE and PDSIZE set right, but it might work.

Good abuse of the tool.

Why not just set a point at the same spot, then do an "Edit Points - Elevation From Surface"?

I will give it a try once I get a chance maybe tomorrow. In the future, I will just use a C3D point. If the "abuse of the tool" works I will try and create a station/offset table from the spot elevations that I added to the surface already. Thanks for the insight!

That will be the next thing I do if I can't easily convert the surface labels I already have - probably a couple hundred or so.

A couple of hundred...? I can see why you're trying to find an automated way.

Make a point, copy point with base point at the point, paste as block, rename if wanted, add block to slope spot elevation label, explode labels twice, create points from AutoCAD points, edit points - elevation from surface. Done.
