Contours not recognizing ditch in corridor

I have created a corridor using a basic lane, then a subassembly from
polyline which makes up a ditch that remains the same depth and runs along
the grade of the road, then a basic lane on the other side of the ditch and
a daylight on each side. When I go to corridor properties and create
surface, I get all of my contours, but they cut straight across the ditch.
The ditch is perfect in every respect in the view/edit corridor section.
Also, I still can not get the toe of slope to daylight correctly. I do not
get the Daylight Automatic option when I right click the Corridor Name. All
I get is "Add interactively" and that doesn't seem to work. There is only
one alignment, so I am not sure what the problem is.
Any Ideas?

Tim

Tim,

Did you apply a "Top" link code to the polyline subassembly? If not, then
the links formed by the polyline won't get added to the surface (resulting
in exactly what you see).

You can also add point codes at the sides of the ditch if you want ditch
lines in plan.

Thanks Peter, I thought just picking the Plus sign next to "Top" in the Add
Data box of the Surfaces Tab of Corridor Properties would do it, but what I
had to do is change the data type to Feature Lines, and then pick the Codes
that I wanted to have feature lines assigned to. That is after I created
codes for the subassembly polyline. Thanks for getting me back in the right
corridor. (so to speak) 🙂
I have a new problem, that I am going to ask in a new thread if you happen
to have time to look at it.
Thanks, Tim
