Connect pipe offset from center of structure?

Is there a way in the current release to connect a pipe to a structure
other than at the center? I've got a 10' Type-R inlet that needs a pipe
to exit one of the sides.

Thanks.

James once told me if you drag the pipe off center and not outside the structure it will stay connected. I tried it out, and it even worked like he said. It is the best we got right now. HTH

That works great. I don't know why I didn't try that. Thanks.

You probably didnt for the same reason I didn't. I couldnt figure out why that would work. I just assumed that since they snapped to middle they were stuck there.

Somewhat along this same topic, do you like the fact that dragging the
grip of a pipe or structure determines not only it's horizontal
position, but also it's vertical? I wanted to line a pipe up with my
base linework (all at z=0 of course) and the pipe or structure is pushed
down to zero elevation in my profile. I can't see how this would be useful.

Nick, don't know if your still on the team but when a pipe is dragged it does not always stay connected. This seems to be hit and miss and with no warning.

I just got caught out again with this on a live project with an offset pipe. Can we please have some feature to warn us of this when it diconnects inadvertantly from the structure and as quick as possible please.

We cant have incorrect information slipping through the net.
