Civil 3d 2007 and LDD 2004

We will be updating from LDD 2004 to Civil3d 2007 in the near future
My question is can both exist on the server while I configure/tweek/learn 2007?
I was thinking on getting 1 standalone license and playing with it on a workstation locally but our reseller says Adesk can make it tough to transfer licenses back and forth.

Thanks for any info or thoughts

You'll have to upgrade to the latest FlexLM, but your old license will
run fine on it. Combine your license files and you can run anything
you need to (that you have licenses for)

thanks for the info Jason,
So I take it Civil3d and 2004 ldd won't collide and corrupt with eachothers files

They won't do it without some help from the end user.

OK,
the mind is somewhat at ease. Just getting the ducks in a row for a big leap.
Don't feel like "shutting down the office" but hummm, a vacation would be nice!

Thanks
