Civil 3D on Windows 7 with a projector

Has anyone been working with C3D on Windows 7 much? I converted several weeks ago and has been great, but we're noticing when we connect to a projector, we're locking up pretty consistently during basing C3D work. It appears to be related to the video synching witht he projectors.
Has anyone else run across this?

I was in another office with my laptop Windows 7/ Civil 3D and was having problems like you described. We ended up using a desktop. I thought it may have been because my Windows 7 Evaluation copy was expiring, but I didn't have any problems when it wasn't attached to the projector. Didn't spend much time trying to fix the problem though.

I've used C3D 2010 on a Windows 7 x64 laptop with a projector and no problems. But there's lots of variation in systems.

I've had issues with my laptops video, Aero, and dual screen extension
of my desktop. For me, its all hardware issues...

I have Windows 7 64 and Civil 3D 2010 doing plenty of presentations using a projector with no problem.

Same with Sinc here.

No issues here. What video card are you using? That would be the first place I would look.

Well, I identified the culprit. It appears the Win 7 Desktop Composition causes it. As long as I disable it (on the compatibility tab from the startup shortcut), I can present with no problems.
