Can I edit a label style to allow it to label my surfaces with their Prospector name? I have searched online and a couple of people on other forums have said "this should be easy" but they have not described how to actually do it. I've no doubt it is easy and the answer right in front of me but I'd really appreciate some help as I have hundreds of these to label... Thanks in advance

I only want to display the surface name. I looked at all the surface labels trying to find one I can edit to do just that. I looked at the spot label but couldn't find an option to add the surface name field?
I'm happy to use whatever label method will allow me to add the surface name alone.. I really appreciate your help on this
Ok, you can do it with a spot label
Go to the toolspace, Settings tab, expand your way down to Surface, Label Styles, Spot Elevation.
Right click on Spot Elevation and pick New.
On the Information tab, give it a name.
On the General tab, set the layer, text style, etc.
On the Layout tab, a component named "surface elevation" should exist. Set it's visibility to False
Click here to add a new text object.
For this new text object, give it a name, then go down to the contents part, click on the little button to open the editor.
In the editor, highlight all the text on the right and erase it.
On the left side, choose the Name property, then press the Arrow button
This will add the code to the editor window.
Click Ok. Now you're back in the label style composer window.
Make any other adjustments to placement, justification, etc.
Click OK to close.
Now place a spot elevation label using this style.
