Civil 3D 2009 crashes after downloading required maintance 3

When I try to edit surface properties I get fatal error. I typed in step by step what I was doing. Autodesk web site said I needed to down load maintance 3 I did. still crashes
can someone help

I have the same problem. The only thing I think you could even do is uninstall C3D and re install it without service pack 3.

Did you just download it, or did you download and install it?

There is a difference.

Does this happen in only one drawing or all?

If you (or anyone having this issue) can post the email address you used
when you submitted the CER, I can look up the reports to see what may be
happening.

In the meanwhile I would ask that you check to make sure that your
graphics card is supported and that the drivers you have installed are
also supported.

I see reports from C3D 2009 (without any service packs) - I don't see
any reports with Update 3 installed. From that report it seems you're
using on-board graphics which are listed as unsupported. We've seen
crashes with properties dialogs with some graphics card/driver
combinations and getting a supported set up is your best option. Please
visit this site to check on particular hardware:
