Changing Subassemblies in a Corridor

I am working on my first corridor.

I created the original assembly with the "basiclane" subassembly. I am
attempting to model a driveway/parking lot, so the lane widths vary at
corners and landscape medians along the outer edge.

(I understand that normally a corridor is probably not the best model for
this application, but we wanted to use a corridor to learn how to use them.)

So I used the view/edit section routine to model the varying lane widths
along the corridor. Then I find out the "generic pavement structure" will
let me attach alignments and profiles to a offset(?) on the corridor, just
like in LD.

Can I edit the current assembly I used to create and edit the corridor and
exchange in the generic subassembly and keep all the edits to the lane
widths, or if I want to use the generic subassembly will I have to redefine
the lane widths of the corridor?

Although I have modeled the lane widths I want now, I still need to
establish elevations along the EA that are most easily defined by a profile
of the EA.

Try "Basic Lane Transition". It can be targeted to an alignment for width and, if desired, a profile for cross slope.
Just erase the lane subassembly that you have and attach the new one. If you have subassemblies on the outside of the lane you will have to redo them too. Then you will have to go into corridor properties > parameters and reset your targets.Swapping subassemblies in an assembly is really fast and easy once you get used to it.
