Change default survey database settings?

Is there a way to change the default settings of newly-created Survey databases?

I know about .SET files, but I'd like all newly-created databases to have all our local settings without having to import them each time.

Hi,

I agree entirely. The user should be able to set up a database and have all
new databases default to the settings in that file.

As an absolute minimum any drawing which is metric should get a metric
Survey Database and North Azimuths instead of the complex (Quadrant) Bearing
System used in USA.

This could be done quite easily by creating a "Default.SET" file and running
the de-bugged (see below) SET file import automatically on creation of a new
Survey Database.
---------
Have you managed to create a .SET file which returned the data you saved in
to it?

I've been busy and haven't fully experimented, but it appears that saving
North Azimuths into the .SET file causes it to return South Azimuths. (SP3
installed on R2007)

"SvDirectionUnit North Azimuths"

The screen grabs show the database settings initially, after I made my
required settings, and after exporting and re-importing the .SET file
containing the line above.
