How did you get Land Desktop to take 2 hours to build a DTM from a mere
88,000 points?
Did use an original IBM XT with 32K RAM and a single 180Kb floppy drive, or
something like that?
Or did the measured time include a 1 hour 59min training course plus coffee
break?
Just curious.

As a test of different types of software, we took a large set (over 88,000)
of minute points (most had an elevation under .200) and created a surface.
Yes, I understand that civil software is meant for big things, but out of
the other software we tried - vanilla AC, LDT, MDT, etc - C3D did the best
and fastest job. In fact, it beat LDT by a good 2 hours. Now, however, we
need to turn that surface into a solid object.
Anyone have an idea how, or should we just pat ourselves on the back for
getting this far? 🙂
