Civil 3D is not supported on Mac.
This mean it has not been extensively tested and product support won't be able to help in case of issue.
(That being said it should run fine on this machine specs and some users do run it in bootcamp without issues.)
For your information, here is a list of the Autodesk supported apps on Mac
Thanks Nicholas
Realized Mac not supported, but was interested if the proposed arrangement would work. I will try to find CIVIL CAD 3D users running on iMacs for their experiences/comments/cautions. Any search suggestions?
Again Thanks
Thats why he said bootcamped.
I run win7 32 bit on my mbp 17" and for a long time it was better than a lot of the dell precision workstations... so yes, it'll fly.
Appreciate your response. Now to the Apple store and minutiae...ports, cabling, interfaces, comm with existing peripherals and binary software. Never used a mac...ought to be interesting learning curve
Thx
