C3D 2012&2013- Crash on exit

Civil 3d 2012 experienced crash on exit. I did a full clean install of infrastructure design suite (such a pain given the number of programs and extras..) and still get crash on exit with 2013. Also been reported on many other forums since 2007;

Is there any definative reason or solution for this?

Hi O.Maille,

Is this happening to all drawings during exiting or just a few (or one)? Do you get an invite to submit a CER report? If you do can you submit it and fill your e-mail address? When you open the same drawing do you see anyting missing, meaning did program save everything before it crashed?

Happened randomly in 2012 as far as i can tell. With 2013 only been editing upgraded drawings so that may be an issue. That said in 2012 i started with a new base template and imported my styles.

I have radom crash issues with 2012 (profile placement appears to be one recurring) but this often happens after exiting the program even if drawing is recently fully saved

I would suggest starting with one of these files (C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012\Help\Civil Tutorials\Drawings) and seeing if you can replicate the issue then. This will tell you if the issue is with your drawing. If it is, then see if you can run RECOVER, -PURGE, PURGE, AUDIT and see if teh issue remains. Other way to recover would be to use WBLOCK and insert it into a new DWT.

If you still get the crashes please send us the CER report to look.
