C3D 2008 SPANISH DICTIONARY

2008 has several dictionaries for different languages. I have loaded a Spanish dictionary to add Spanish words to an emergency evacuation diagram. It is not Spanish at all. I don't know what language it is. Still need the Spanish words though, and I don't speak Spanish. Any suggestions?

Gracias

Maybe I'm missing something, but you need the Spanish dictionary to be
able to label things in spanish? Again - ?

I can type labels in spanish all day long - Esto es una oración que
escribí a máquina en español sin la ayuda de cualquiera construyó en el
diccionario.

In English, that would read as: This is a sentence that I typed in
Spanish without the aid of any built in dictionary.

I guess that bpayne needs the spelling command, and this command only checks if the spelling is correct and recommend the correct word.

Heres is a thread talking about the location of the language's dictionaries
http://discussion1.autodesk.com/thread.jspa?threadID=485729

By the way, Jason, the translation is wrong, this is the right one.....
"Esta es una frase que escribí en español sin la ayuda de un diccionario integrado".

Thanks for correcting me, Pedro. Honestly, I got the translation from
some free website 😉

Off the point: Jason, you should try getting a free website translation of an English sentence into any other language, and then get it to translate the result back into English again. You'll be mazed by the garbage produced. Computers can't translate. Yet. I speak four languages, and have occasionally been asked at times to check over translations done by software, the translations have been at the level of a five year old at best.

Actually it's five languages, Australian is different to English.

Hans:

No big deal. Hell, we can't translate English across state lines over here.

Sounds like Germany, the country is tiny, roughly 900*600 km, consists of 16 states, and when they interview a local in one state they put subtitles on the screen so that the rest of the country can understand what's been said....

Jason,

I was planning to find english words and replace them with Spanish words. Its just a diagram. For ex; Finding words like danger and replacing them with peligro using the dictionary.
Thanks so much for the help.

That's really not how the spell check dictionary works....and there's
other things to consider as well, including the fact that the whole
grammatical structure of sentences doesn't translate very well,
evidenced by my post above 😉

Yes I know. I must have gone past the point. Bottom line, is that I was coming up with words that did not appear to be in Spanish at all. I am curious if anyone has used the Spanish dictionary and are not coming up with the correct words. Or found a way to translate. But I think some of those things were addressed by the other guy.

Thanks anyway
Brenda
