Building an Assembly

I am building an assembly for a shoulder widening.  the sholder is 5' paved plus 5' stabalized tying to existing grade at a 4:1 slope.  The two shoulder sections are showing up in the cross section but the tie-down is not.  I have checked the target and it is set properly to the existing gound.

Is your Daylight Slope steep enough to catch the surface, before just possibly projecting out to oblivion for a non-solution?
