Black and white vs Color help!

I am trying to create an exhibit that displays my aerial in black and white and proposed line work in color.  I have both of these files referenced in.  To bring in my aerial, i used the command MAPIINSERT.  When I click on the aerial, the Image tab comes up and i have tried playing with the brightness, contrast, and fade bars but they don't seem to be doing the trick.

Can anyone help me with this?

I think you will need to copy and convert the image to grayscale with Raster Design or a photo editor.

If this is a sid file lizardtech has a utility to extract the tiff image from the sid file.

How can i convert it using Raster Design?  Can i do this within Civil3D or do i need to do it specifically in Raster Design?

I don't think C3D or AutoCAD have the ability to convert a raster image.

See the attached to find the Change Color Depth command in Raster Design. This will do it.

I know this is three years old but it was very useful today.

Thank you

Raster Design runs inside any AutoCAD product. If you have IDSP you have Raster Design. If you're not sure. Check with your Cad Manager or IT.
