Best fit arc from non-horizontal points

I would like to create a best-fit arc from non-horizontal points.

I have tried to do a UCS from 3 of the points that will form the arc but everytime the best-fit arc is placed on the global grid horizontally.

Any help would be great - thanks in advance.

What plane are you trying to create it on?

I would like the best-fit arc to be on the horizontal plane of my UCS that was formed from the 3 points. Every best fit arc is created on the horizontal plane of the global coordinate system. Hope I'm using the correct terminology here.

Thanks

This has been a wish of mine for a long time now.  The ability to best fit a 3d line or a 3d arc to survey data would be very useful tools for me.

I agree Steve. I typically draft these out in 2d and then convert them to 3d just to get all that fittin' to fit.
