I have done extensive dyke and ditch work with Civil 3D. I have always used
the generic links with success. I'm not sure what your settings are, but
there would appear to be an error somewhere.

All,
What subassemblies should be used to design a simple berm/ditch? IOW, no
depth/shape is necessary, and the only design data I am concerned with is
fill/excavation and generating proposed contours. I have tried using
BasicLane w/DaylightGeneral and it works ok when I leave the depth, but when
I set the depth to 0, the subassembly disappears and becomes invalid until
I give it a depth again (I assume this works as designed). I tried using
just the LinkWidthAndSlope subassembly with DaylightGeneral on each side of
the assembly and the corridor width doesn't match the width I told it to be
for each side of the centerline (obviously half of the berm/ditch).
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
