Batch Import Points to specific layers

A project I am working on has nearly 500 CSV files which combined hold well over 100,000 points and I would like to import them into a base drawing onto layers named the same as the CSV files the points are from.  I have an import format setup, and all of the CSV files in the same directory, but short of importing them one at a time and making a new layer for each, I am at a loss.

Does anyone have a handy tool, lisp, or workflow to get them all into Civil 3D 2014 quickly without spending 2 days doing this by hand?
