Background Mask

My background masks on c3d labels are showing up, rather than being
invisible. Any ideas? (see image of label attached)

Do they actually plot like that? There is a bit of an oddity with the
background mask. If you were to open the label style that is offending and
edit the background mask options while your autocad background color was set
to white I think you will find that the display on screen corrects itself.
My guess is you are looking at paper space in that screen grab after having
setup the label style in modelspace. I havent tried printing any to see the
results but it is something I noticed when I was mucking around with them.

Yes, it actually plots completely blacked out. Changing to a white cad
background produced the same result. Any other ideas? I am using stb
plotting.

Thanks,

There is only one variety of C3d masks for c3d labels > background mask >
true/false. This is a bummer, as this function was extremely anticipated
and is seemingly not working. Any ideas from Autodesk guys or James
Wedding?

Actually, I have discovered the ctb plot style drawings work correctly,
while the stb drawing do not. Interesting, because Lynn Allen recommends
stb drawings. Maybe if I knew what plot style was assigned to the mask I
could screen it to zero. Anybody know?

I can see the issue alright. I am still trying to see if I can fix it.
Looks like in stb the label style picks up the black color from your stb.
Thus blacking out the wipeout. I am mucking to see if I can find a
resolution other than use ctb.

I am out of bright ideas. The only thing I can suggest is switch to a ctb.
If you edit the stb file and change from color black to object color then
all is well, I guess if you were to setup a layer that was color black with
the correct lineweight then you could make a workable situation. But seems
like alot of extra work.

Yeh, I found the same solutions. For now, I will just put my labels on a
object color plot style with the layer set to black. Better than swiching
everything back to ctb. Thanks for your help.
