BAM....Fatal Error

Has anyone else been looking at civil 3d 2012 but not touching the mouse or keyboard and have civil 3d fatal error and instantly shut down?  All I did was open the drawing and let it sit for 10 minutes.  Smiley Indifferent  Good thing I didn't do any work to lose.  Heaven forbid I lose work to a fatal error

 

I guess I will just chalk it up as friday the 13th.

Something happened during an autosave probably. I've seen it before.

That was it and I saw it do it myself.  I guess I will shut down Autosave.

I have had it happen just drawing a line. After four years of it having fatal crashes on average of once every couple of weeks I have yet to discover what causes it. It isn't just an AUTOSAVE issue. I've installed the patch that ACAD sends to you once you report the crash but it only caused more problems.
