Automatic Point Groups

Is there a way to create automatic Point Groups when importing points?  Sort of like a Desc Key for layers?  I know it probably is impossible but I have to ask.

What you can do is create the point groups in your template file.  So when you import points, they are automatically classified into the point groups.  You can even go a step further and create a surface using a specific point group (in your template file) and your surface will be automatically created when you import the points too.
