Autocad Civil 3D shutting down when creating surfaces

Hi,

I'm currently using AutoCAD Civil 3D and am having issues with the program constantly shutting down. I inserted a point group from a csv file and have been trying to create a surface. Every time I try to create a surface and adjust the display settings to show contour lines it suddenly freezes and shuts down. Any ideas on how I can remedy this problem is greatly appreciated as this is for my Senior design project in college.

Without seeing the entire file, maybe you have points with equal x,y but different z.  Civil 3D has a problem with points directly above or below.
