AutoCAD crash when inserting hyperlinks in mtext object

I am inserting hyperlinks in an mtext object using the following commands:
1. Within the mtext box, right click and select "insert field"
2. Choose "linked"
3. Choose "Hyperlink"
4. Type in the web address in the box to allow autodesk to load the website
5. Choose "insert link"
6. Modified "text to display"
7. Exit text editor.

When I exit the text editor, the program crashes.
See attached image. Anybody else witih the same problem?

Thanks.

I had AutoCad 2013 Civil lockup problems until I disconnected my USB chip reader [for SD chips, Compact flash, etc] and disconnected all network drive not actively connected.    My machine would lock up for hours:  I believe it was trying to read every disk.  When it couldn't [because a chip was not inserted]it would take forvever to accept it.

Before disconnecting the chip reader I got around this only once;  I went to lunch and hours later, the AutoDesk instance was fine. I could select other objects to hyperlink ok.  But the first one took hours.
