AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 issues

I downloaded AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 from Autodesk using the free software available to students. However after trying out the tutorials I realized that the ribbon I have is the one from AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 and not from Civil 3D 2011. Can anyone help me out as to why this could be happening? Thanks.

Interesting, considering that C3D 2009 didn't have a Ribbon...  Smiley Surprised

I'm not really sure what might be happening.

Are you talking about AutoCAD ribbons? Type RIBBONCLOSE to close it and save the workspace- that may help.

My guess is you are running Civil 3D as AutoCAD and you are seeing the AutoCAD ribbons which could be launched in Civil 3D 2009. Type in the OPTIONS command and go to the PROFILES tab and select the <<C3D_Imperial>> profile, then SET CURRENT.

Seth,

You are AWESOME! Thanks for your help. I found out I hadn't unzipped a bunch of files from the original download. Everything is working fine now. This has been killing me for the past few days.

Thanks again.
