C3D object in general are not compatible with other software or other version until 2013. Is the eaglepoint an addon to C3D or standalone. You can export your drawing, which explodes the data. rendering it a simple acad drawing.

I don't know how to insert blocks. But have you tried the ExporttoAutoCAD command when passing the drawing on?

"When I bring my point file into my drawing I would like it to automatically insert blocks, like trees, manholes, etc.. How do i do this?"
Description Keys will get you symbols (and layers if desired) upon import.
Allen does as I do for sharing the data using Export to Dwg.
