Assign elevation to Cogo points by snapping to 3D entities

Can you manually create a new cogo point and have it pick up the elevation from a 3D entity that you snap to?

 

I found this thread from 2010 that says no at that time.

Is this still not possible with C3D 2013?

Works here in 2012 c3d. This is  a 3d poly and all shown elev.'s were derived from snapping to the 3d poly.

You're right.

Tried in a new empty drawing, with "Prompt for Elevations" set to Manual.

I failed rule #1 -> always try it in a new empty drawing.... :-(
