Assembly Starting at Offset

So here is my question for a monday morning.

Is it possible to design an assembly that will start to the left or right at an offset alignment and profile?

What I have is a rvier we wnat to fix the banks on. The alignment needs to be laid out from the center but we have not shots in the river. Our first tie in point left or right of the alignment is the toe of Bank (P1 and P2) can I build a aseembly that shows no links between the original alignment and p1 and p2? Please see below for image.

Yes, use one of the Generic Links and use the option to omit the link. This will move the starting point to the edge of the river.

Cheers,
