I think the icons are difficult to use at the time of deal with a complex desing.
I'd like to have a more intuitive tool for both scenarios (alignment & profile)
Anybody knows something really useful ?
(of course I know that the way is to find commercial tools, or not ?)
Thanks

Civil 3D (2013) how much you have to improve....
I do not know of any 3rd party application that replaces those. I would not expect there to be. Why make a tool for something that already has built-in tools. I'm not saying your wish isn't valid, it can be awkward getting used to those tools, but I just don't see anyone making anything to replace them.
After a bit more practise you'll soon find them more than useful.
I'm having trouble figuring out what you're looking for here. Do you want something along the lines of a featureline? A single 3D object that could be defined using the same basic rules we already use for alignment & profile would definitely have a place in my design toolbox.
Or do you just want better tools than we have now for working with alignments and profiles? A tool palette? Shortcut menus? Something else? Are the commands for editing alignment and profile accessible in any way other than through their toolbars?

No... I'm searching something better that the little and non-intuitive icons.
I have never seen such a horrible thing.....
