Alignment Labels

is there a way to add field properties to a station offset label, eg I would like to have a station offset labels that contains the area of a specific object.

Not Acad objects, but IIRC you can add a Parcel Reference Text and have your object be called. That would assume your object would be acceptable as a parcel.

this might get you thinking though it doesnt specifically address adding a
parcel reference.

What i am looking to do is have a label that has the centerline stationing of a driveway along with the area of the driveway to do quantities with. Or I could use vba to pull the station and the area and put it in Acad text, but i do not know vba very well and have had trouble trying this.

Any suggestions

Depending on what you want your output to be you could use the object data capabilities in Map. The only problem is you would have to manually add the station information into each driveway polyline, but in the end you would have the ability to create annotation with the station and area or export the data and bring it back into a table indicating the station and the area of the polyline. Probably not the slickest method but doable. I have been explaining some of it on my blog, the only thing I haven't gone over is annotation, but the help files are adequate to figure it out.

Thanks for the help, I just have one more issue. When I make my line label I have the station called out before the area (eg. Sta. 24+34.00, CL of Drive, Construct 134 SF of 6" concrete drive.) the reference text being "Sta. 24+34.00, CL" and the text component being "of Drive, Construct 134 SF of 6" concrete Drive." but in the dragged state it puts the reference text under the text component if the Stacked text setting is used and if you use the As Composed setting then the leader will not flip if you move the Label. Is there something that i am missing.
Thanks

In our office we create a label for each side we want the text on. Not ideal but it is an easy solution.
