Add pipe sizes (Box) 2015

Apologies if this has already been mentioned elsewhere.

Ran into this issue this week. If you have time, can you check it on your setup?

  1. Using the stock OOTB imperial template, open a new drawing.
  2. In the Settings tab of the toolspace, go to Pipe Network > Parts List
  3. Right Click on Storm Sewer and choose Edit.
  4. In the Dialog that opens, go to the pipes tab, Expand Storm Sewer, then expand Concrete Box Culvert
  5. Right Click on the only entry there (24"x24"....) and choose Edit.
  6. Click on the "Inner Pipe Width" column.
  7. Civil 3D crashes with an UNHANDLED EXCEPTION (it may take a few seconds).

The only "oddity" about the machines we are seeing this on, is they either _had_ or still _have_ an earlier version installed (2013 or 2014).

I do not have a machine ready that only has a fresh 2015 install on which to try this.

But it's repeatable on all of our other machines, regardless of template, login, etc.

I have already submitted a subscription support request.

(Lastly: It also only seems to crash when adding a size to "Concrete Box Culvert" - other pipe shapes work OK.)

TIA.

Yup. I edited that dimension and OK'd back to the parts list. Then went in to edit it again and it froze.

Interesting thing was there were duplicate entries for that dimension. So 4 or 5 sets of 24" followed by 4 or 5 36", etc.

Locked me up and so I ended the task. My laptop only has ever seen 2015 installed. No prior versions.

Regards,

Mike

I eventually get a blank 24"x24" box culvert dialog, c3d freezes / end task.

Also seeing the duplicate size entries Mike mentioned.

When trying to pick one of these duplicate entries the field would often populate w/ a value

different than what was selected. 2015 SP1.

All versions 2012 though 2015 installed.

Can't duplicate the Fatal Error here but get this when trying to edit using your same steps > End Task.

Thanks for checking this out. Now at least I know it's not isolated to our environment.

I bet Autodesk has more CLOSED CASES than Carl Sagan could count.

I'm experiencing this as well.   Blank dialog pops up when editing a pipe in a parts list and freezes C3D.
