2012-08-13_1115.pngHi

I am wanting to add a field to my pipe parts to store the pipe pressure and stiffness class separately to give me the most flexiblility with my labels is this possible thru the partbuilder interface I got to here but can not see a way to add custum field. There are some extra build in fields like material are they hard coded or can you hack the xml file directly to add additional fields.

You could add new properties but you won't see them in your labels. None of the part sizing parameters and whatnot are available in the label properties. I believe the list you are looking at is hard coded into the part and the labels.

Just have a play and as you have commented you can add the properties into part builder but they do not flow on into Civil3d labels.

Found this post the other day following a post by kevin http://civil3d.wordpress.com/2012/09/30/parcel-ownership-for-oil-gas-pipelines-part-2/

which has a link to this one

http://beingcivil.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/07/assigning-optional-properties-to-a-part-size.html

which should let me do what I want.
