I found out that almost all of the hotfixes listed under C3D SP1 are not included in SP1. The only one that is included is the Prospector Lock-up Hotfix. Any others that apply to your C3D usage should be installed.
For our usage I installed the following:
I installed them in the order shown. I am not sure if the order matters but it seems to have worked.
Please note that the AutoCAD 2012 Performance Slowdown Hotfix (32/64 bit) is superseded by the AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT 2012 SP1 Ribbon Hotfix. So you only need to install the Ribbon hotfix. If for some reason you want to install both be sure to do the Ribbon hotfix last.
Autodesk subscription support.
Where does the website say it includes these hotfixes?

From the Readme for SP1:
You can apply this service pack to the following Autodesk products running on all supported operating systems and languages. Be sure to install the correct service pack for your software.
This service pack includes all previous hotfixes for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012. The AutoCAD 2012 Performance Slowdown Hotfix is also included in this service pack.
So I was a bit baffled, too. The only one I could see not being included would be the Ribbon hotfix which came out after the Autocad SP1.
Oops, missed your second question.
I starting looking into this because we have two IDS licenses and multiple C3D licenses but only 2 people could get into C3D. I installed the IDS license hotfix (after SP1) and then all of our C3D licenses became available. I then contacted support to see what other hotfixes I needed to install. To be honest I didn't expect that I would have to install any based on past history. I thought I was reporting to support that the IDS license hotfix was missed in the service pack.
The way it was explained to me was that C3D SP1 included AutoCAD SP1 but no hotfixes.
The Ribbon hotfix has the same 2 dlls as the performance hotfix. They are newer versions however. I can verify, via version number, that the Ribbon hotfix and the Block Editor hotfix are not included. The Ribbon hotfix fixed a lag issue I was having all day using feature lines.
From Support:
Hi Jeff,
It was very nice to speak with you today, and to follow up on our earlier conversation, ACAD C3D 2012 includes included ACAD 2012 SP1 and ACAD Map 3D 2012 SP1. I believe Hotfix - Prospector Lock-up is also included in SP1. Many hotfixes listed under SP1 on C3D 2012 web page do not directly related to C3D 2012 (see below) thus they are not compiled in C3D 2012 SP1.
AutoCAD 2012 Performance Slowdown Hotfix (32/64 bit)
AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT 2012 SP1 Ribbon Hotfix
AutoCAD 2012 Block Editor Save Corruption Hot Fix
Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite Network License Hotfix
Welcome Screen Hotfix (UK English Only)
Welcome Screen and Ranges of Analysis Types Hotfix (German and Japanese only)
Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis 2012 Hotfix (localized Civil 3D and Map 3D versions Only)
Standards Audit Report Hotfix for French AutoCAD® 2012
Autodesk 2012 Content Explorer Service Hot Fix
Autodesk Material Library Medium Resolution Image Library 2012
Autodesk IPv4 Network License Manager for Windows
Autodesk IPv6 Network License Manager for Windows
Interesting. The Block Editor fix should be removed from the list of "not installed with SP1", as the file date I now have installed is newer than the one in the HF zip file....suggesting to me it was installed by the SP1 install. Not sure about all the others....
Thanks for letting us all know your findings!
Jeff_M,
You're correct, the block editor hotfix should not be applied after the service pack. Thanks.
Time to undo the hotfix
I have applied this series of hotfixes after the SP1, and the Ribbon hotfix is actually causing the software to not restart on 1 in ever 2 PC in my organization that it is installed onto.
I have logged this with Autodesk via sub center help, case no: 068374480
Hopefully this can get resolved no..
