2010 Shortcut Keys

Has anyone been able to get Keyboard Shortcuts to work in C3D 2010?

For example, ever since C3D 2007, we've had CTRL+B defined as "Move to Back". These shortcuts are defined in a CUI file we load as a Partial CUI, and they worked just fine through three versions of C3D. Now with C3D 2010, I can't get any of my keyboard shortcuts to work.

In the attached image, I'm showing the keyboard shortcuts in my CUI. There is only one definition for CTRL+B - my "Move to Back", and the CUI says it is the active shortcut. However, whenever I hit CTRL+B, it toggles SNAP mode.

It's like this pretty much all down the line... For example, CTRL+SHIFT+T now tries to calibrate the tablet, instead of using the LENGTHEN TOTAL that I have assigned to it in the CUI.

I've tried moving my Partial CUI around in the load order, with no effect.

I cannot find a definition anywhere in any CUI file that assigns CTRL+B to "Toggle SNAP mode". However, I've noticed that the command "Toggle Snap" is defined with a Macro of "^B". This looks like it might be what is trumping my CUI settings.

Anyone else run into this? Did you find any way to fix it?

CTRL+B is the Autocad default for the Snapmode. However, you should be able
to reset it to whatever you want, just as you've been doing. To test this, I
just assigned "Draw Order, Send to back" to the CTRL + B and got the desired
result.

Note that I tried this in the Main CUI.

Next I removed it from the Main CUI and added it to my own partial
CUI.....it still worked as expected.

So it is still working, but something isn't loading it in your install.
Wait, I now see in your screen capture that your command is Send to Back. I
only have this in 2010 as "Draw Order, Send to Back". Perhaps it's just not
finding the correct command?

It appears to have something to do with the fact that the shortcut commands were added via a CUI file.

This CUI file was created in an older version of C3D. The old-style CUI file was added to C3D 2010 as a Partial CUI. This automatically converted it to a CUIX, but evidently not completely, or not in a very good fashion, or something. The link in the CUI editor was still to the CUI file, even though new edits in the CUI editor were being written to the new CUIX file. And then it looks like maybe the CUIX file was constantly being regenerated from the CUI file, or something...?

In any case, something was interfering with the keyboard shortcuts, and they were not working properly. Here was my solution:

When the CUI file was added to C3D 2010 as a Partial CUI, that created a CUIX file. I then used the CUI editor to remove the CUI file from the Partical CUIs list, and went to Windows Explorer and deleted the CUI file from my hard drive. Then, in the CUI editor, I added the CUIX file as a Partial CUI. The problem now appears to be solved.
