2006 Release

Hey all:

I'm currently using Land Desktop and Civil Design. I'm told that the new 2006 Civil 3D will do everything that the above sofware does except hyrology/hydraulics. If this is true then I don't need LD and Civil anymore for new projects. Is this true? Thanks.

The grading tools in Civil3D are a bit lacking, specifically with regards to
the ability to create and edit 3d polylines. For many purposes, Civil3D is
sufficient, but for any significant site grading, it is not. In addition,
there are no hydrology/hydraulic capabilities.

Jon,

Have they added any of the Inquiry tools to 2006? In C3D 2005 I can't even
list the STA-Offset of a point.

No, you must either rely on tooltips or place a label. I agree that these
tools are sorely missed.
